This plugin should be assigned to a shortcut. It comes with a version for Layout and one for Modeler.

This plugin opens an Explorer (Windows) or Finder (macOS) window with the currently selected image highlighted.

The currently selected image is the one that is highlighted in the list in the image panel.

If no image is selected there, a pop-up with all loaded images will open, allowing the user to select an image to explore.
